MID-DAY SUPERVISOR VACANCY

St Matthew’s CE School, Westnewton, Cumbria, CA7 3NT

 

MID-DAY SUPERVISOR      £18,065-£18,426 pro rata (£9.36 - £9.55 per hour)

Permanent, part time: Two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday, 12-1.00pm)

The Governors of St Matthew’s CE School are seeking to appoint a mid-day supervisor to become part of our hardworking team supervising lunchtimes and ensuring the safety of our pupils both indoors and outdoors.

The successful candidate should enjoy working with children, promoting healthy eating and encouraging good behaviour at all times. It is also essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly to children and adults in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies and procedures.

 

Purpose
To assist in the provision of lunches for pupils, clear up after lunches and assist on the playground.

Key responsibilities
To assist the children during the meal.
To tidy away plates and utensils after use.
To wipe the lunch tables and chairs.
To support the school ethos and expectations of high standards of behaviour in the lunch hall and on the playground.

To liaise with other school staff as required.

General requirements
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all.
Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
Appreciate and support the role of other members of staff.

Dates
Closing date for applications is Thursday 10th October at 1pm
Interviews will take place on Friday 18th October
Starting date Monday 28th October
