Together we can Shine

St John’s in the Vale Residential

Today, we walked from St John’s in the Vale to Castlerigg. The Y3,4 and 5 children planned the route on Friday and we followed it.
As it is the Summer Solstice, some druids were celebrating the event with singing and dancing. Some of the children sat and watched and even joined in the dancing.

We have had dinner and are now orienteering around the site!

After orienteering (which we found hard), we played on the hill before going inside for a game of Pictionary. Pictionary ended up being very competitive!

Today (Tuesday), we have completed a 5 mile circular route which took us along St John’s Beck, up to Wren Crag, along the ridge of Long Band and up High Rigg and Naddle Fell. The children did brilliantly and all completed the challenge!

After our walk, we were able to relax and play a few games before our evening campfire.

On Wednesday, we left St John’s in the Vale and went to the Lake District Wildlife Park.
