St Matthew's School Uniform

SCHOOL UNIFORM

The school uniform requires children to wear the following:

• A school sweatshirt or cardigan (red with the school badge or plain red)
• Polo shirt (red or white) with or without a school badge.  
• Trousers or skirts should be dark grey or black and should not be jogging pants, leggings or tracksuit bottoms 
• Black shoes should be sensible for the variety of activities undertaken during the school day
• Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 need a book bag (school book bag or any alternative)
• Children in Year 3-6 need a school bag (any bag of any colour)

Polo shirts, jumpers, cardigans and book bags with the school badge are available from Gift and Stitch in Aspatria, however children can wear plain jumpers, cardigans and polo shirts which can be purchased at many shops including supermarkets. 

In summer/warmer months, children may prefer to wear shorts instead of trousers or summer dresses (red and white). These are optional.

With so many children wearing similar clothing, it is extremely important that all clothing is clearly marked with the owner’s name. Parents/carers are reminded that whilst every effort will be made to prevent loss, all children must be responsible for their clothing and any personal possessions they bring to school.

PE kit is as follows

Children must wear suitable clothing and footwear for PE. The PE kit includes:

• red round neck or polo t-shirt
• black shorts
• trainers
• unbranded black tracksuit bottoms and top during cold weather

As the field may be wet, all children MUST have a change of socks and shoes for PE
